Politics International was founded in 1991, with the express
intention of bringing a new dimension to public affairs in the UK. The principles
upon which the company was founded included a rigorously ethical approach; in-depth

implications of political and public policy decisions and professionalism.
The company is now a division of Interel,
a leading European corporate affairs consultancy managing assignments ranging
from reputation management to financial communications, consumer PR and European
public affairs. Headquartered in Brussels, Interel also operates through offices
in Antwerp, Berlin, Paris and Prague and partners in all other major cities in
Europe. Our parent company is Hasgrove

a pan European communications company operating in corporate affairs, digital
communications and design. Our Local Solutions network of consultants provides
coverage of local and regional issues across the country.
As we have grown we have held fast to our founding principles. These qualities

Our core business revolves around political and public policy decisions made
in Europe, Westminster and in the devolved regional and local administrations
across the UK. All of our staff have extensive and first hand experience of working
with the political and governmental institutions in a wide range of policy areas.
As a result we are able to provide strategic advice and support to clients on
all aspects of public policy, from national legislative initiatives to locally
contentious projects.
Within this comprehensive structure, all of our consultants have in-depth
specialist knowledge, expertise and skills in particular areas of policy. And
in particular forms of public affairs support. Thus, we have dedicated units
covering all of the main areas of public policy - for example, financial services,
transport, consumer and retail, environment, defence, energy and health. Each
unit is deeply immersed in the current and emerging political and public policy
issues in their area. In addition, we encourage a high degree of collaboration
between units to ensure that all the complex inter-connections of the political
and policy processes are understood, and brought to bear in clients' interests.
As individuals within these specialised units all of our staff bring unique
specialist skills that are more widely applicable to our work. For example, we
have, among many specialisms, experts in the fields of drafting legislation and
parliamentary procedure, in the processes and techniques of Select Committee
inquiries and campaigning.
